Air & Space Combined
Want to send you imagination soaring above the clouds? Then you will want to check out the Virginia Air and Space Center where all things aircraft and space related can be found.
It is the visitor center for Langley Airforce Base and for NASA Langley Research Center. At the Air and Space Center you can see over one hundred interactive exhibits. You will learn about the history of NASA and what the latest space and flight research is today.
Lots of Exhibits to Enjoy
Some of our favorite exhibits include:
- Adventures in Flight – you can experience hands-on as you wing walk on a bi-plane or become an air traffic controller. Just two of the several activities designed to let you feel first hand what flying is all about.
- Air & Space Craft exhibit – discover the facts about the many air craft on display
- Ham Radio – explore the world of ham radio through this exhibit
- Space Gallery – build a space shuttle, explore Mars and be an astronaut. Even see a moon rock at this display which takes a look at space flight.

You can also enjoy a movie in 3-D at the IMAX theater. So if you ever wanted to visit the moon or fly through the clouds, here is your chance to be a pilot or astronaut!
