If you’re a person who enjoys history, there are several houses that you will want to visit. They reflect different time periods and offer a unique look into life in the early history of Virginia Beach.
Upper Wolfsnare House
The Upper Wolfsnare House was built by Thomas Walke III. You will be transported back to the days of Colonial America when you enter the crepe myrtle lane. You can feel the past as you walk the path Thomas Walke IV did, as one of two local representatives in the Virginia Convention to take part in ratifying the brand new Constitution. The house is the only historic house that is still privately owned and functioning in this area. Admission to the house is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children 5-17.
